Kumar is an award winning caricature artist. He is recipient of the prestigious British Chevening Scholarship and INLAKS Foundation award in cartooning and caricatures.

Kumar has formal training in cartooning at The Saint Martin's School of Art, University of Art, London.
Kumar has his work published in more than 35 international publications including The Sydney Morning Herald and London's Punch magazine.
In 1992, Kumar used to draw caricatures sitting at the Piccadilly Circus, London.
Kumar's 56 sketches on London were exhibited by the British Council Division to various cities as his sole traveling exhibition. Kumar's
on-the-spot sketches on Singapore has been compiled in a book called 'Kumar's Singapore'.
Kumar is the only Australian caricature artist to be invited by the governments of Singapore and South Korea's as a State Guest.
All of his caricature performances are covered under Public Liability Insurance.

Kumar's live caricature sessions are quite intense. He does not take any breaks.
The best start-time for caricaturist to arrive is at the begining of your event. It has many advantages..everyone sees caricaturist as they arrive. Live caricatures are great icebreakers - they lighten the atmosphere, get people talking, people love to compare their drawing with each other and conversation flows.
Kumar normally arrives wearing a hat. He wears hat so that he could be easily locate in the crowd.
Under pressure, Kumar can draw colour caricatures taking about 1 minutes extra as compare to Black & White caricatures. It is recommended to opt for Kumar's colur caricatures as they are fast and has 'WOW' factor.
Drawing a couple takes twice more time than drawing a single. To reduce long wait for singles, Kumar start drawing couples only after first half of his working duration.
